french toast for a novice's first try

This is the easiest and simplest for any beginner to start with. The recipe is enough for 3-4 persons.
French Toast
for breakfast with an assortment of
spreads, banana and green tea
Ingredients (note: the ratio is 1 egg to 2 pieces of bread)
8 pieces of bread (either fresh or not so fresh)
4 medium sized eggs
1 table spoon brown sugar
corn oil

Method

1. Break the eggs into a bowl. Add brown sugar and beat well with a fork, make sure sugar is dissolved.

2. Take one piece of bread at a time and soak in the egg mixture

3. Do the same for all the pieces of bread and keep on a plate

4. Heat up a pan, then lower down the heat and grease the pan with a little corn oil

5. Take a piece of bread which has been soaked in the egg mixture and place in the pan, bring up the heat slightly.

6. Use the flat side of a metal spatula to press down the bread so that the heat is spread evenly underneath it

7. Once one side of the bread is cooked (about 40 seconds), turn it over to cook the other side, and also use the spatula to press it down

8. Do the same for the rest of the bread and it is done...very easy and very simple!
